BVR academics: Using immunoassay testing for the presence of antibodies in a simulated viral study.

Class: Biology Foundations
Grade: 10th & 11th grades
Teacher: Michelle Wildes

Upper School students in biology used immunoassay testing to determine the presence of antibodies in a simulated viral study. Students are studying epidemiology—the study of viruses—and are learning what viruses are; how they replicate and spread; how they are tested in the lab; the human immuno-response to them; and how epidemiology is used to benefit society.
