Reunion 2020 Update

As the global, national, and local impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve every day, our primary focus is on the health and safety of the Beaver community. With this in mind, the Office of Philanthropy + Engagement has made the difficult decision to postpone Reunion 2020. As soon as we know a firm update we will let you know.

Below are some FAQs for our alumni community to stay updated on Beaver’s approach during these extraordinary times.

What's happening for the students?

As we work to meet the needs of our students and our communities, we are holding our extended BVR family close. We encourage you to stay connected to us during this uncertain time.

Students returned from Spring Break on Tuesday, March 31 and kicked off what we are calling the BVR Expanded Learning Experience. Our faculty and administration have worked hard the past few weeks to create schedules, expectations, assignments and support systems for our students. Our goal during this uncertain time is to continue to do what we do best—create an educational experience centered around our students. If you would like to learn more about what that new temporary normal will be for our kids, please feel free to explore the pages below:

What's the Admission update?

Students were notified of their acceptance to Beaver on March 10, and the enrollment deadline is April 10. While we are disappointed to not be able to welcome our admitted students and their families to campus to spend a Revisit Day with our students and faculty, we are excited to welcome them to our BVR Virtual Revisit Days.

It must be a tough time for seniors and our recent Beaver college graduates looking for a job or an internship opportunity—can I help?

Typically, at this time of year, seniors are gearing up for the excitement of commencement and starting their next chapter as Beaver graduates. We are in the midst of rethinking and redesigning what their end of year experience will look like. We also have our recent college graduates searching for jobs, as well as internship opportunities. Any listings or leads you know of are tremendously helpful to us. Please send any information about jobs, internships, or leads directly to Katie Shore, Director of Community Engagement at kshore@bcdschool.org.

How can I help?

Please email engagement@bcdschool.org to share your suggestions. Quite a few alumni have asked how they can best support Beaver as we adapt to the changing face of educating our students right now. If you would like to make a gift to Beaver please click here or connect with Jill Henson at jhenson@bcdschool.org. Thank you for your support.

Can alumni visit campus?

Because of our concerns around COVID-19 we are not permitting any outside guests on campus until Beaver reopens to the greater community. Please continue to check in with us if you are hoping to plan a visit to campus.
