Applying to Beaver

Beaver students don’t fit into a singular mold. Some are artists. Some are engineers. Some are athletes, activists, entrepreneurs—or all of those at once. What they share isn’t a particular interest, but a way of moving through the world: they’re curious, kind, collaborative, willing to work hard, and willing to try something new. They ask thoughtful questions, take risks, incorporate feedback, and aren’t afraid to begin something they don’t already know how to do.

Their education reflects that same mindset. Beaver students dig deep into ideas and then put them to work—testing them, applying them, refining them, and making connections that stretch beyond a single classroom or subject. They graduate with deep knowledge, but just as importantly, with the confidence to use it.

Want to dive deeper? Great! Here are your next steps for the 2027-2028 school year:

Step 1: Inquire online through Ravenna

Beaver uses Ravenna for our online inquiry and application.

To set up a Ravenna account, click here to fill out our inquiry form, and we’ll send you information about Beaver. (If you already have a Ravenna account, simply log in and “Explore” Beaver.)

Step 2: Attend a fall information event (registration required)

Beaver’s 2026 Admission Information Events are:

  • Thursday, October 15, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 12, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 10, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

We encourage you to join us for any of these optional information sessions to learn more about Beaver and the application process. Registration is required through your Ravenna account.

Step 3: Visit and interview by December 15

A tour and interview are required parts of the admission process. Tours and interviews are offered from September 29, 2025, until January 31, 2026. Once you have started an application you can schedule your interview through Ravenna.  If all appointments are booked please call the Admission Office at (617) 738-2725.

  • Please schedule your visit as soon as possible.
  • Your application does not need to be completed in order to schedule your interview.
  • Please call the Admission Office to schedule more than one student or if you have any questions.

At least one parent or caregiver should accompany the applicant. The interview includes separate conversations with the applicant and parent(s)/caregiver(s). During the parent/caregiver interview, students will complete a writing sample. These interviews are an opportunity for us to get to know the student/family and for you to get to know more about Beaver. You can expect the visit to take about two hours.
