On Tuesday, Ms. Ellman’s Art of Storytelling class visited Pine Manor College to share storybooks they wrote for children. The assignment comes after the class brought several kids to campus to share their favorite books as inspiration.
Students in the Religions and Beliefs class had a walking tour of Brandeis University’s spiritual spaces. The trip was designed to explore how the university works with their student community to create inclusive spaces for people from different belief systems and spiritual backgrounds.
An eventful Upper School meeting took place on Wednesday. In addition to announcements about the Hiatt Center Summer Fellowship and an upcoming trip to the Team Harmony event in Tulsa, Oklahoma, student council held a transfer of power ceremony. Current student council president Ian Travis ’23 reflected on the past year and future student council president Emma Shub ’24 shared her excitement for what is to come.
Thursday marked the final day of classes for seniors. At Senior Send-Off, Ms. Ching and Ms. Charles gave speeches congratulating the senior class. Following this, the Middle School choir sang Umbrella and handed out roses to each senior.
To celebrate seniors, the college wall debuted in Beaver’s main entrance.
Reunion 2023 kicked off on Friday, bringing alumni back to Beaver for a day of celebration. Upper School students provided tours to alumni wishing to explore campus. Similarly, several students presented their SDPs to alumni and shared how Beaver facilitated their unique passions.
