Here are some highlights from this past week—October 21 through October 25—in the Upper School.
Author Lindsey Cormack visited campus on Monday to speak to students about civic engagement. With only two weeks until the 2024 election, Cormack’s visit aimed to equip students with the necessary tools to get involved, engage in difficult conversations, and make their voices heard. On Tuesday, the Video Production class visited Holyhood Cemetery to practice capturing footage. Students were tasked with considering all aspects of video production including foley work, on-screen movement, and shot composition.
Wednesday marked one week until opening night of the U.S. fall play, Noses Off. Noses Off follows the hilarious backstage antics of an amateur theater company struggling to put together their whodunnit. Students have been hard at work mastering the demanding physical comedy, stage fighting, and dynamic flow of the show, creating a truly special experience in the process.
Performances of Noses Off will take place on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. in Bradley Hall. You can read more about the show here.
