Girls Varsity Basketball –
The Girls Varsity Basketball team completed a 2-0 week, defeating conference foe Newton Country Day School and non-conference opponent, Lincoln School. Both games were competitive, but Friday’s 45-27 victory over a talented Lincoln squad was a total team victory. This week the girls host Berwick Academy on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Boys Varsity Basketball –
The Beaver Boys’ Basketball team opened up the season going 1-1. On Monday, December 8th, the boys won their season opener vs league opponent Bancroft 68-30. On Saturday, the team traveled to the Canterbury School to play one of the top teams in Class B. The team lost a nail biter 82-81. The Beaver boys will be at the Rivers Tournament this weekend.
Girls Varsity Ice Hockey –
The Girls Varsity Ice Hockey team travelled to Portsmouth Abbey this past weekend. The team played a solid three periods of hockey but came up short in a tough in league loss. Lila O’Neil ’20 stepped up as a backup goalie this week making 22 saves on 29 shots. The team will face Newton Country Day on Tuesday at Daly Rink before heading into the winter break.
Varsity Wrestling –
The Wrestling team will open up its schedule on Wednesday, when they travel to Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall to take on CHCH and Portsmouth Abbey. On Saturday, December 20th the boys will head to Tabor Academy for the first tournament action of the season at the “Battle On The Bay”.
Varsity Fencing –
The Fencing team took on Dana Hall and St. John’s Prep on Friday December 12th. Both the boys and girls teams lost by a score of 10-17. This week, the team will host the International School Of Boston on Tuesday at 4:30 at the Dynamo Fencing Center in Newton.
