The 2025 Social Justice Retreat is right around the corner! On Friday, January 31, Middle School students that have signed up for the retreat will spend the day attending workshops, hearing from speakers, and getting hands-on with topics related to this year’s theme: Heart IN The Matter!

What is the Middle School Social Justice Retreat? It’s a day for students in the middle school to learn and reflect about their identities, and their role in creating a more just, safe, and accessible world.
What is this year’s theme? This year’s theme is Heart IN the Matter– a call to always remember that behind all issues of justice or conflict there are real human beings. Attendees will be hearing lots of real-life experiences from impacted people.
How does it work? Students who choose to participate will take part in engaging workshops and Create & Design sessions about social justice. Students will also receive special ‘Retreat Swag’ to celebrate their interest in making the world a better place. Students that do not attend will will go to their classes as normal.
