Your guide to Commencement week

Commencement 2026 is Friday, June 5 at 3:30 p.m.

Congratulations to the class of 2026!

Commencement is almost here, and we are so DAM excited to celebrate the Class of 2026. This page is your home base for everything you need to know leading up to June 5—and we’ll keep adding to it in the coming weeks. Following Commencement, we’ll update this page with recaps, video and photo links, and highlights from the day.

Up first:  Commencement rehearsal

Thursday, June 4 at 8:15 a.m.

Attendance is mandatory for all seniors.

Pro tip: Seniors should wear the shoes they’re planning to wear at Commencement so they can practice going up and down the risers!

Following rehearsal, seniors should remain on campus for the Upper School Awards at 11:30 a.m.

Day of Commencement:  What to expect

Friday, June 5 at 3:30 p.m.
SCHEDULE

1:00 p.m. The parking lot opens.
1:30 p.m. Seniors should head to the Black Box Theater to pick up a cap and gown.
1:30 p.m. Doors to Gym A open.
2:45 p.m. Class photo in the Front Circle.
3:30 p.m. Ceremony begins in Gym A.
5:30 p.m. Reception on the Bloomberg Plaza.

Accessibility & accommodations

Accessible parking is reserved for vehicles displaying a valid state-issued handicap placard. For all other accessibility questions or to request accommodations, please contact Linda Feeley at lfeeley@bcdschool.org by Wednesday, June 3 at noon.

Parking information

The Beaver parking lot will open at 1 p.m.; cars will not be let in any earlier, as 8th Grade Promotion is happening on campus that morning. If the lot is full, street parking is available on the sidewalk side of Woodland Road.

Professional photos

Highpoint Photography will be on campus before and after the ceremony to take portraits and family photos (they’ll also be capturing the magical moment when each graduate receives their diploma!). Ordering information will be available soon, and forms will also be on hand the day of.

We’ll be streaming the ceremony right here on this page, so forward this link to anyone who wants to watch the Class of 2026 graduate from wherever they are! The complete recording will also be available here immediately following the ceremony.

Tuesday, June 2
We kick off Commencement week at Fenway Park as the Red Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles. Bus departs from Beaver at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, June 3
An annual Beaver tradition, Senior Night is a chance for seniors and their families to celebrate as a class. The event (5 to 7 p.m.) features a senior slideshow and video as well as a faculty speaker and a yearbook dedication.

Thursday, June 4
Following the morning’s (mandatory) Commencement rehearsal, seniors will join us in Gym A for the Upper School Awards Assembly at 11:30 a.m.
