Nine Beaver students in the BVR Model UN Club attended the Brown University Simulation of United Nations (BUSUN XXVI). Six out of the nine Beaver students that participated had never attended a college MUN before. For five students, this was their first conference altogether!
Several Beaver students won the Honorable Delegate award including Priya DuBois ’25, Ian Travis ’23, and Calvin Cirurgiao ’24. Students were assigned committees to work on covering a wide range of topics including Purdue Pharma and global warming. Despite some intense heat caused by warm weather and a central heating system failing, students worked hard throughout the weekend and enjoyed a delegate dance with their fellow club members. Not only this, but students also reconnected with a Beaver alum spotted at the event!
