Hello, Middle School Students and Families! Below is a recap of this week’s MS Meeting.

Caroline Coe-Rohl ’30 and Charlotte Henson ’30 ran today’s meeting. You can check out the slides from this week’s meeting here.

THE BVR STUDENT

Aly Diaz ’29 shared Asks for help when they are struggling.

I chose “asks for help when they are struggling” because I feel this is important to me. I used to not like asking for help because I would try to figure things out on my own. I have learned that it is okay and important to reach out for help. It is especially important to ask for help from people that you know will lend you a helping hand.

Announcements

Ninah Mahidhar ’30 recapped the most recent Hiatt Leadership Institute, Bounce Back: Build Resilience & Recovery Skills. We came together to learn about setbacks, took time to reflect on times when things have not gone as planned, and learned about the role our emotions and thoughts play in helping us bounce back. We even took time to learn a little about the puffins’ incredible resilience. The next Hiatt Leadership Institute is on Monday, April 28. We will learn about making an impact from the ground up by starting with the things we have control of.

Ms. Garayúa reminded students about the May 16 deadline for Hiatt Summer Fellowships.

Dany Sidman ’26 reminded students about the Bionic5K happening on April 27 at 9 a.m. in Harvard Square. A team from Beaver has been organized and is open to anyone who wants to join. You can also use the code BEAVER15 to receive 15% off the registration fee. Register here!
