BVR academics: Building heart valve replacements in 7th grade science

Class: Science 7: The Science of Self & Advanced Biology: Anatomy and Physiology
Grade: 7th Grade, 11th Grade, & 12th Grade
Teacher: Jordan Rogoff & Matt Micari

Students in 7th-grade science are currently studying the human circulatory system. Using their knowledge of the structure and function of the heart, they dissected pig hearts and designed heart valve replacements based on patient profiles. They then visited the US Anatomy and Physiology class to share their findings with the juniors and seniors.
