Upper School Fall Play: The Visit

Posted on November 23, 2010

Set in the 1950s in Switzerland, the play’s action hinges on a billion-dollar bounty the eponymous visitor places on the head of her former lover. An unwed mother-turned-prostitute-tuned golddigger- billionaires, the visitor announces that whoever kills her lover will inherit her fortune; there is no shortage of volunteers in the impoverished town.

The upper school production, directed by Jeremy Johnson and produced by Jen Yolles, proved as richly entertaining for the eye as the intellect, with its vivid period costumes, spare sets and stark lighting.
