Hello, Middle School Students and Families! Below is a recap of this week’s MS Meeting.

THE BVR STUDENT
Lee Jacobs ’29 presented “values mistakes and takes responsibility for actions“
I chose to present this element because I know it is an important way to learn and grow. Specifically, when playing sports, it is important to admit when you make mistakes to be able to improve and be a better athlete. If you ignore them, you don’t learn from them, and you will continue to make mistakes.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Jasper Ingenthron ’29 and Arsema Ayele ’30 announced the Middle School Winter Musical Shrek. Performances are Thursday and Friday, February 27 and 28, at 6 PM in Bradley Hall. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 18. Students also have the opportunity to sign up to be ushers for the show.
Tomorrow is Waffle Wednesday. The BVR Counseling Team will be serving waffles as a lunch dessert tomorrow.
The 7th grade is taking a field trip to the Harvard Medical School on Wednesday, February 19. Students will problem-solve as medical diagnosticians by interacting with a lifelike robot in the medical simulation lab and will also perform an intubation.
Reminder: please fill out the consent form by Friday, February 14.
Thursday is Feed Your Brain Day. Students will attend three workshops aimed at teaching them new skills and exposing them to new topics.

The day culminates with all students ice skating at Daly Rink in Newton. Skates will be provided, but students can bring skates from home if they wish. Students will return to campus in time for regular afternoon activities.
Parent/Caregiver & Teacher Conferences will take place on the next three Fridays: February 14, February 21, and February 28. Students are encouraged to attend their conferences. Please let us know if your student will be attending conferences here.

Tomorrow’s RISE activity is making Valentine’s paper bouquets. Through fun activities, students learn how to deal with stress and worry.

This week in advisory, advisories will compete in a Valentine’s Day door decorating competition.
