We are excited to welcome Michael Lomuscio, Ed.D., as Beaver’s next Head of School, beginning July 1, 2027.
Our Board of Trustees unanimously selected Michael following a comprehensive national search conducted by a committee of trustees, faculty, administrators, and alumni. During his visit to Beaver, Michael spent time with students, faculty and staff, administrators, alumni, and other members of our community.
Michael currently serves as Associate Head of School for Academic Affairs at Carolina Day School in Asheville, North Carolina. A mathematician by training, he brings deep experience as an educator and administrator and is a nationally recognized leader in how schools can thoughtfully, ethically, and practically embrace artificial intelligence.
Throughout the search process, Michael’s intellectual curiosity, leadership qualities, collaborative nature, and clear educational vision made a lasting impression and demonstrated a strong match for Beaver’s mission and pedagogy.
