Club Spotlight: Yearbook Club

Posted on February 17, 2026

Each school year at Beaver ends with a familiar tradition: students gathering on the Cohn Terrace to collect yearbooks. The moment encourages students to reflect on the year, revisit special memories, and celebrate all that has taken place since September.

When the Yearbook Club meets every Tuesday, they make this tradition possible.

I joined yearbook because I love the creative outlet. It’s fun to put something together and know it will make people happy.

Willa Gaebler, Yearbook Club Leader

The Yearbook Club is a group focused on creating a visual representation of life at Beaver through documentation and design. From creating a dynamic (and often themed) cover to organizing hundreds of pages of content, creating the yearbook is equal parts creativity and collaboration. “Yearbook club is great if you like photography and organization,” says club leader Lily Chorev ’26.

The club offers students an opportunity to develop editorial skills such as working with tight deadlines, writing for print, and using professional camera equipment. Involvement in the group often goes beyond club block, with students regularly documenting school events and meeting with club advisor Ms. Healey.

The Yearbook Club collaborate across different departments at Beaver to gather photos. Something students may not know is that anyone can submit content for the yearbook, not just club members.

Brittany Healey, Associate Registrar and Yearbook Club Advisor

Yearbook club is currently working on meeting an upcoming deadline by collecting content, finishing designs, and coordinating coverage of upcoming trips and events.
