Hello, Middle School Students and Families! Here is a recap of today’s Middle School Meeting.

Charlotte Henson ’30 and Marin Lubov ’30 ran today’s meeting. You can check out the slides from this week’s meeting here.

The BVR Student

Owen Bau ’31 and Malcolm Henderson ’31 presented Sleeps, Eats Healthy Food, and is Physically Active.

“We chose this because it represents us as a whole; we are both physically active, we eat, and we sleep.”

Owen said, “As an athlete, I need to eat well and sleep well in order to have the energy I need to play good basketball.”

Malcolm said, “I try to drink a lot of water, and I try to go to sleep early, and I’m active every day, even if I am at home and don’t have basketball practice, I’ll walk down to the courts and play down there, even if I am by myself.”

Announcements

💬 Estelí Valenzuela ’31 announced that the Association of Independent Schools of New England is hosting the 2026 Middle School Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Conference on Saturday, February 7, at Regis College in Weston.

“This conference is a wonderful opportunity to explore diversity, equity, and inclusion conversations with peers from other regional schools. The day is filled with awesome workshops, affinity spaces, and inspirational speakers. Throughout the day, you’ll have delicious snacks and fun activities as a break from the workshops. Additionally, this conference is open to all students interested in learning more and discussing diversity, equity, and inclusion. This year’s theme is: Brave Together!”

There are limited spaces; please sign up using the RSVP form.

🪐 Ayan Toussaint ’30 announced that the fourth Hiatt MS Leadership Institute workshop will take place this Monday, December 15, at 245 Woodland. At the workshop, students will take a closer look at what they can learn from planets and how they maintain their orbits and paths without bringing other planets down. Topics will include how to act to affirm others’ identities, how to communicate with people who think differently from you, and how to create spaces that help everyone shine. Students can sign up via a form emailed to them.

They said, “We learned a lot from the competition, and it was a great experience.”

The club will continue to meet for the remainder of the year on Tuesdays during recess, so if you haven’t already, now would be a great time to come try out some robotics! No commitment required.
