Meet Beaver student Henry Diver ’26

Posted on August 1, 2025

What is life like as a Beaver student? We interviewed several students across all grades—from middle school to senior year—to get a peek into the Beaver student experience. Below you’ll hear from Henry Diver—a rising senior. Henry shares what he has learned over his five years on campus, his favorite class, and how to make the most of being a Beaver student.

You’re a senior next year, congrats! What does your upcoming year look like?
My upcoming year is full of fun and hard work. I am excited to participate in advanced classes, which will take me to Harvard Medical Science, prisons, and embark on an intense research project. I will act in the Fall Play, Spring Musical, and the epitome of my high school theater career, the Advanced Show, a production including only the most dedicated and talented actors and technicians at Beaver.

How do you feel you’ve grown during your time at Beaver? Also, when did you start?
I started at Beaver in 7th Grade, and I have learned who I am. I learned my interests and have been able to cultivate deep friendships I am sure will live past my time at Beaver.

What would you say is the BEST part of Beaver?
The best part of Beaver is the work and support system. The amount of work allows for academic growth, but is not all-consuming. It follows a natural sine curve peaking towards the middle and end of the term. This allows for free time to hang out with friends, and you are able to recharge for the more intense periods.

What’s a class you took or a project you worked on that you really enjoyed? Why?
The View Within class was one that inspired me to reflect inwards and write about myself in a way that I had not done before.

Could you share a bit about a teacher who has made an impact on your experience?
It is hard to name one teacher because all of the teachers genuinely care about you and your experience. If you put effort into a relationship with a teacher, they will reciprocate.
