Meet Beaver student Eva Bachman ‘31

Posted on August 1, 2025

What is life like as a Beaver student? We interviewed several students across all grades—from middle school to senior year—to get a peek into the Beaver student experience. Below you’ll hear from Eva Bachman—a rising 7th grade student. Eva shares what it was like making friends at a new school, experimenting with butterflies in science class, and all of her Beaver favorites!

Let’s talk about Middle School. You just finished your 6th grade year! What was it like?
Sixth grade was kind of scary at first because Beaver was a new school and I didn’t know anyone there, however once I got to know everybody, they were all nice to me and sixth grade became SUPER fun!

What’s a class you took or a project you worked on that you really enjoyed?
I really liked the pollinator project we did in science class because we got to grow real butterflies. Then we got to plant flowers and learn about different pollinators and how certain pollinators have more preferred flowers.

Could you share a bit about a teacher who has made an impact on your experience?
I really liked G as a teacher because he was always super fun and very patient. He also knew how to make us focus on work and support us.

I feel like it was really easy to make friends because everybody was really nice!
