Hello, Middle School Students and Families! Below is a recap of this week’s MS Meeting.

Miles Diver ’29 shared, “Tries new things

I picked “tries new things” because this is important to me. You never know what you love to do until you commit to trying it. This year, I tried a new activity. I do percussion now because I tried something different, and now I am happy I did.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Marli Forrester ’29 announced new recess programming, Beaver Buds. The goal of the club is to offer an opportunity for middle schoolers to learn how to garden and learn what it means to create a sustainable food source. The group will meet on Mondays during recess.


Spirit week will continue for the rest of the week. All students are encouraged to participate.

Spring afternoon activities begin tomorrow, March 5. Students in a winter activity should return their uniforms and any borrowed items to the Athletics Center this week.


Congratulations to Emerson Daly ’29, Elliot Fayne ’30, and Kieran Morrissey-Dhekne ’30 for completing their 13.1 Season with the Upper School team.

Elliot completed the entire season while also competing on the fencing team, racing an excellent 5k at the Walter’s Run in December.

Kieran, who was also part of Innovation Lab, raced the Hyannis 10K this weekend and placed 34th in a field of 400 adults, placing 1st in his age group.

Emerson, who also was part of the Girls A Basketball team, raced the Hyannis 10K as well and placed 55th in a field of 400 adults, also placing 1st in her age group!


The Upper School Math Club held a competition for middle school students on Monday. Congratulations to the following students!

Tomorrow’s RISE activity is making origami. Through fun activities, students learn how to deal with stress and worry.

ADVISORY
This week in advisory, advisories will be doing an activity called, “Where Am I?” They will see a bunch of zoomed in pictures and will work as a team to figure out where in the school the picture was taken.
