US Weekly Wrap-Up: 03.31.23

Here is a short wrap-up from this past week—March 28 through March 31 —in the Upper School.


There was no school on Monday due to spring break.


Tuesday was the first day back for students after two weeks of spring break. In addition to reconnecting with teachers, clubs, and friends, students were also visited by Future FocusED attendees observing classes around campus. Students even had the opportunity to present projects to attendees to showcase their work at Beaver.


In Advisory on Wednesday, seniors made “dam lists” of things they want to do in their six weeks left at Beaver. 9th graders heard more about a Model UN opportunity over the summer run by three seniors. To learn more click here!


Thursday was the first Revisit Day for prospective families. Dozens of students paired up with prospective students to show off campus, sit in on classes, and answer any last minute questions about Beaver. In a presentation led by Mr. Adjout, five students shared the work they have been doing in Student Directed Projects including a forest fire-fighting robot, a novel, and a look at the war in Ukraine from a civilian perspective.



On Friday, last minute preparations were made for TEDxBeaver. The event will take place at Beaver on Sunday, April 2 at 3:00 P.M. and will feature various speakers from Beaver and beyond. If you are interested in attending, RSVP here!
