Here is a short wrap-up from this past week—October 24 through October 28 —in the Upper School.
On Monday, students in 9th and 11th grade had Class Meetings. In 11th grade, students participated in a trivia competition themed around Halloween. 10th and 12th graders were busy with Advisory, which was a time to check in with advisors and evaluate how the year has been going.
Upper School students competed in a Student Council House Competition on Tuesday. Not only did they get out some energy through soccer matches, relay races, and capture the flag, students also got creative with cake decorating, Family Feud, and pumpkin carving. Prior to the event, students had a blast preparing and baking (a lot of) cakes.

On Wednesday, the Alex Cohn Grant was discussed with students at an Upper School meeting. Mr. Eaton and Ms. Ching, faculty advisors to the Alex Cohn Grant, let students know that applications for the grant will be open from November 3rd to December 12th to all 10th and 11th graders.
Wednesday marked the deadline to switch afternoon activities for winter. Students should confirm any athletic changes with the Athletic Department and Registrar’s Office if they have not done so already.
On Thursday, 11th graders spent Advisory identifying what support is and where they can find it in their academic and personal lives. 12th graders were given time to reflect and work on any materials related to their college process. Meanwhile, 10th graders decorated their advisor’s door in preparation for a trick or treating event on Friday. Check out some of the spooky doors below!
The Halloween spirit continued into Friday, with 10th graders trick or treating and some seniors rocking matching pumpkin attire.
