Here is a short wrap-up from this past week—May 16 through May 20 —in the Upper School.
Monday in US Advisory, students were informed about student advisor parent/guardian conferences happening on May 23.
In the afternoon there was Senior Day for Girls Varsity Tennis vs Penguin Hall at Baker.
On Tuesday there was the US R+D Creative Collaborations for faculty who have ideas relating to curriculum iterations for next year.
During Club Spotlight on Tuesday, we spoke with the members of Cooking Club and their interesting science behind making different foods.
On Wednesday morning we continued the US R+D Creative Collaborations on the R Level.
In place of US Meeting on Wednesday, students gathered on the Upper Field to kick back and get some vitamin D outside. There were a few sports equipment for those who wanted to play spikeball, frisbee, etc.
There were also Admission Group Tours for prospective families for the 2023-2024 school year.
In the afternoon was Senior Day for Baseball vs Landmark and Senior Day for Boys JV Tennis vs Pingree at Weeks.
During US Advisory Meeting on Thursday students completed a survey to help the R+D team develop opportunities for growth.
Thursday evening was the opening night of the US Musical Performance Into The Woods.
Friday morning, Morgan Muschamp’s Engineering Design and Foundations class went on a field trip to Parcel 12 alongside the Real Estate Club.
Seniors were back on campus on Friday for Senior Experience Programming. After meeting up in their advisory, there were different workshops they could attend.
The students learned about writing resumes, were hands on learning about maintaining their cars, and had discussions surrounding managing mental health, and sex education after graduating.
The seniors ended their afternoon as a group going over Senior Spring events and information leading up to graduation.
In the afternoon was Senior Day for Girls Lacrosse vs Boston Trinity, Senior Day for Sailing Race at CBI, and Senior Day for Boys Lacrosse vs Berwick.
