Posted on July 1, 2021

Kader Adjout has been named Beaver’s Director of Teaching Learning and Innovation.

Having been at Beaver for 17 years, he is at the same time very familiar with who Beaver is as a school and has a keen sense of where we can go—and the experience and know-how to get it done. He will be doing work across the Middle School and Upper School, collaborating with two newly formed teams:

Instructional Design Coaches

  • Geeta Jain, US History and Hiatt Center Liaison
  • Drew Zachry, Upper School Physics
  • Sejal Patel, Upper School Visual Arts
  • Dave Liebowitz, Upper School English

Teaching + Learning Team

  • Associate Head of School for Special Projects, Zaira Santiago
  • Director of Middle School, Tiffany Smith
  • Director of Upper School, Chai Reddy
  • Department Heads
  • Director of Technology, Shandor Simon
  • Director of the Hiatt Center, Liz Latour
  • MS Director of Engagement and Inclusion, Joe Christy
  • US Director of Student Life and Equity, Jimmy Manyuru
  • Director of College Counseling, Danielle da Silva
  • US Director of Athletics, Nancy Collins

In addition, he will be focusing on curriculum development and strategic planning. He will bring in speakers, form partnerships, and share resources to enrich the teaching and learning experience at Beaver; as well as playing a major role in representing Beaver in national and international conversations and events centered around where education is going.
