This week, three student-athletes were honored with Athletic Accolades. Maurice Taylor ’13, Cam Mayer ’15, and Tim Fischer ’19 received the award for their hard work and performance on the courts.
Maurice Taylor ’13 – Boys Varsity Basketball
Maurice Taylor led Beaver to a strong defensive effort in leading the team to a 40-31 victory over St. Mark’s. Maurice held St. Mark’s leading scorer to 9 points for the game.
Cam Mayer ’15 – Varsity Fencing
Cam Mayer won the Individual Men’s Foil event at the Concord-Carlisle Invitational last week. He showed incredible focus and endurance as he fenced and won all 27 bouts. This week Cam went 3-0 against BB&N, leading the Men’s Foil team to a victory. During practice, Cam demonstrates leadership and teamwork by encouraging his teammates and giving constructive feedback.

Tim Fischer ’19 – Middle School Wrestling
Tim Fisher wrestled a double overtime match in his first match last week. He followed that up by winning his match yesterday by a score of 2-0. Tim keeps his head up and puts his nose to the grindstone in practice each day to keep getting better. He has a great attitude and pushes himself and his teammates to achieve their best.
