Senior Experience 2021 Spotlight: Painting for Reforestation with Jeremy Jacobson

Posted on June 2, 2021

For Senior Experience—i.e., the last couple of weeks of the Senior Spring term—students work on passion projects, attend internships, create art, and much more. You can read more about their various experiences on the Senior Experience Tumblr

Student names:
Jeremy Jacobson

How would you summarize your project?
With Beaver’s support, I have launched the “Happy Trees Project” for my senior experience. As an artist and environmentalist, I’m using this unique opportunity to paint landscapes while supporting the environment by donating profits to the non-profit reforestation organization One Tree Planted, which plants a tree for every dollar donated. Deforestation has fallen out of the mainstream news, but that doesn’t mean it has stopped or lost importance, as trees are our best defense against greenhouse gases.

Where can we find your work?
By purchasing a painting, not only will you get an original painting, but you can make a measurable difference by planting dozens of trees. Please take a look at my website/store and TikTok videos.
