Boys Soccer

The Boys Soccer team continued its strong start with two key EIL wins this past week. The boys traveled north to Berwick on Thursday and came away with a solid 3-2 win.  On Saturday, the team earned a 4-2 win at Portsmouth Abbey in front of the Ravens homecoming crowd. Down 2-1 at the half, the boys stormed back with three second half goals.  At 4-0-0 in the EIL and 5-1-0 overall, the boys will prepare for two more league match ups this week at home against Pingree on Wednesday and away at Concord Academy on Friday.

Girls Soccer

The Girls Varsity Soccer team fell to Portsmouth Abbey on Saturday by a score of 6-1. Despite a tight first half that ended 1-1, the girls faded and fell to an improved Portsmouth team. The team will look to rebound with a busy week ahead as they take on Dana Hall, Newton Country Day, and Concord Academy. All three games are on the road.

Field Hockey

On Friday, a driving rain postponed the Varsity Field Hockey team’s game against Dana Hall.  On Saturday the girls headed south to take on Portsmouth Abbey in front of their homecoming crowd.  The Ravens proved too strong on the day, as the Beaver girls lost this EIL matchup.  The team will see plenty of action this week when they travel to Dana on Tuesday, host Newton Country Day on Wednesday, and then visit Concord Academy on Friday.

Golf

The Varsity Golf team enjoyed two tight EIL matches this past week. On Thursday, the boys held off Concord Academy by a score of 3.5 to 2.5.  The team then traveled to Portsmouth Rhode Island and lost a close match on a damp cool Saturday. The Portsmouth Abbey side edged the young Beaver team 4-2. This week the team will hope for better weather as they travel to Pingree on Tuesday and Berwick on Thursday.

Cross Country

The Boys Cross Country team continues to impress as they controlled this past week’s race against the Landmark Vikings. Taking the first seven place finishes, the team effectively swept the race with a final score of 15-50.   This week, the boys and girls will travel north to take on Pingree and the Winsor School on Wednesday.

Volleyball

The Volleyball team dropped its lone match of the week last Friday, as they fell to Dana Hall 3-0. The girls will look to get back on track this week when they play away at Newton Country Day on Wednesday.
