The captains meet regularly during the season as part of the “Captains’ Circle” program. Today, they were lucky to talk with Wayne and hear about his experiences while at Beaver and throughout his career at the University of Kentucky. Wayne was recently inducted into Beaver’s Athletics Hall of Fame and still holds the basketball career scoring record with 2,542 points. While at Kentucky he was a member of two NCAA National Championship teams.

“Wayne is such a wonderful ambassador of the game. It is wonderful to hear him credit his work ethic and humility as reasons to his success,” said Director of Athletics Sherry Levin. “The captains enjoyed hearing Wayne talk about leadership, team roles, and expectations.”
