On February 18, Jherson became the newest member of the 1,000th point club during a game against Concord Academy. “Jherson has demonstrated outstanding competitiveness and hard work throughout the season,” says coach Juan Figueroa. “His 1,000 point milestone is a testament to his dedication.”

“In the finals of the EIL Tournament, Tyler faced an opponent who had beaten him twice before by pin this season,” said coach Josh Rosenthal. “Tyler got focused, went out and dominated in the first period 8-0. Tyler ended up losing the next two periods 2-7 but was able to hold on and win the match 10-7. In addition, Tyler was named the Outstanding Wrestler for the entire tournament. We are very proud of him and all he has done this season.”

Fencing coach Ian MacEachern raved about Cameron Mayer’s season and his work-ethic: “It seems like it would be hard to compete at the high school level if you are in eighth grade. But Cam would have to disagree with that. This season, he contributed to every victory during the regular season. He was an example of hard work at practice. Many nights after practice, Cam could be found at Boston Fencing Club where he is on the Junior Team. It is that kind of dedication which put him above all other competitors at the Massachusetts State Championship where he took the Gold Medal in Men’s Foil. Cam has a lot of potential, not just as a fencer, but as a leader on the team.”
