Young Alum Launches Virtual Sports Stock Market

Posted on June 5, 2010

Ever wished you could buy and sell shares of your favorite professional sports teams? Beaver alum Jeremy Levine ’05 is launching StarStreet Sports to give individual investors a way to legally trade virtual shares in teams, starting with this month’s World Cup.

Jeremy, a Syracuse University grad, developed his business plan and computer model while taking part in the TechStars development program in Boston this spring, which funds and mentors promising entrepreneurs. He was interviewed on CNN (June 3), describing his plans for getting StarStreet off the ground.

You can “like” the company on Facebook or follow them on Twitter. Jeremy’s Beaver classmate Evan Hunt ’05 is also involved.
