Honoring Yolanda Wilcox González

Posted on January 8, 2026

Over the past weeks, our community has been united in grief and love as we mourn the loss of Yolanda Wilcox González, whose legacy of brilliance, compassion, and unwavering commitment to justice shaped Beaver in profound and lasting ways.

Beaver will host a “Celebration of Yolanda’s Life” on Saturday, February 7, at 2 p.m. on campus. (Snow date: March 1). This celebration is open to all who want to honor Yolanda and be together in community. We realize it may not be possible for you to join us in person, so we will also be sending out a link to a livestream of the event.

A Celebration of Yolanda’s Life

In addition, many of you have asked how you can show support and celebrate what Yolanda meant to you. We have created a digital space for the community to share memories, messages, and stories here.

We are so grateful that you are part of celebrating Yolanda’s life and uplifting the extraordinary impact she had on our school and beyond.
