Meet Beaver student L’Mar Hibbert ’30

What is life like as a Beaver student? We interviewed several students across all grades—from middle school to senior year—to get a peek into the Beaver student experience. Below you’ll hear from L’Mar Hibbert—a rising 7th grade student. L’Mar shares his thoughts on middle school, his love of theater, and more!


Let’s talk about Middle School. You just finished your 6th grade year! What was it like?
My 6th grade year was amazing! I met lots of new friends and was exposed to many new and different classes.

What’s a project or an assignment you worked on that you really liked and why?
A project I worked on that I really liked was the superhero project in theater arts. It was fun and challenged us to use our imagination to create a character of our choice.

Tell me about a teacher you really enjoyed!
A teacher I really enjoyed throughout the school year is Ms. O’toole, she is a very kind and understanding teacher who is very supportive with anything. I had spent a lot of time with her because I had done the play and musical, it was really fun having her as a teacher.

What are you excited about in the upcoming year?

In the upcoming year I’m excited about meeting new friends and also having different teachers.

Favorite class: My favorite class is Theater Arts.
Favorite spot on campus: My favorite spot is Ms. Klammers classroom.
Favorite afternoon activity: The fall play was my favorite.
Favorite MS event: The fall play or the music performance.
Favorite snack: Fruit snacks.
Favorite lunch: French fries.
Favorite recess activity: Tennis in the gym.
