Dear Fellow Alumni,
As an alumnus of Beaver and current Trustee, I’ve really enjoyed being able to reconnect with alumni on and off campus in recent years. The school is making an effort to increase communication to alumni and I hope you’ll keep us up-to-date with your latest.
This year, Beaver welcomed 501 students—103 new to Beaver—to the start of the school’s 104th academic year. At Commencement in June, 91 members of the Class of 2023 joined our alumni community. We are now 5,687 strong!
As you transitioned from Beaver, your relationship with the school may have changed, but it did not end. As graduates, we immediately become members of the Beaver Alumni Network. The goals of our Network are to foster relationships between students and alumni and to facilitate building connections between alumni. The larger our reach, the more we can serve as a valuable resource for current students and other alums.
One easy way you may be able to be a resource to Beaver today is to think about whether your company or one where you have connections, may have a need for a spring internship that could partner with us through the Senior Experience.
The Senior Experience is an opportunity for students to further explore passions and interests, discover a career, design a project, or delve deeper into community service. This unique opportunity for Beaver seniors encourages risk-taking, creative problem-solving, responsibility, decision-making, and authentic, hands-on learning. I have fond memories of hosting Cian Argyle ‘18 with my company, Hometap. The best part of this experience for me personally was seeing the entrepreneurship of a young Beaver student firsthand. If you have an opportunity to take part in such an experience, I highly encourage you to consider doing so.
If you have a suggestion of where we could build partnerships that have potential for our Seniors, please email us at engagement@bcdschool.org.
We are Beaver and we are an inspiration to all future alumni. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Max Campion ’09
Trustee
