A deconstructed guitar. Fireworks made from paper. Taylor Swift albums. The inspirations behind the Class of 2027 gallery show could not be more diverse.
For the fourth year of the grade-wide event, students were asked to contribute an art piece they feel strongly about from their semester of work. Alongside their contributions, they also provided titles and artist statements to further highlight the complexity and inspiration of the pieces. Various themes including construction, deconstruction, layers, relaying information, collections and curating, art of the ugly, and self portraits were all explored throughout the gallery.
The collection of pieces is currently on display in the gallery. Below, you can find photos of each piece alongside statements from the artists.
