Upper School Weekly Wrap-Up: 4.18.22

Here is a short wrap-up from this past week—April 18 through April 22 —in the Upper School.


Congratulations to Felicia Selbst ’23 who was interviewed and featured in the Boston Globe. She is one of the winners of this year’s Massachusetts Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.


School was closed Monday in Observance of Patriots’ Day


In US Advisory on Tuesday, there were special snacks on Cohn Terrace for students to enjoy.


There were no US classes on Wednesday due to Spring Parent Teacher Conferences.


In Thursday’s Club Spotlight we spoke with the leaders of Book Club, and how they enjoy a relaxing time reading the books they want to read.


This Friday, April 22, is the GLSEN Day of Silence. The GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network) Day of Silence is a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ students and allies all around the country—and the world—take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ people in schools.

History Bowl students are on their way to Arlington, Virginia for the 2022 Varsity and JV History Bowl National Championships! In the individual rounds, Logan Rabe ’22 competed in the National Political Science Bee and Dan O’Connor ’22 competed in the Physics Bee. Saturday will be the team competitions.
