Make. Create. Robot. is a Middle School Afternoon Activity where students design and build robots, explore the world of making and creating, and learn the basic foundations of engineering. About once a month, the entire Middle School participates in Make. Create. Robot. programming during R-Time.
This past Wednesday, Make. Create. Robot. leaders taught MS students how to manipulate a game — similar in style to Flappy Bird— where the goal is to get an object to move through columns without touching the edges. Using the program P5js, students edited code to make the game easier or harder, changing factors like the velocity, size, shape, color, and lift of the object and/or the columns.
