Florence, Kraft, McCarthy, and O’Neil earn Athletic Accolades

Posted on October 30, 2014

Jacob Florence ‘19 – Varsity Golf
Jacob has been playing at the number one position, which means he plays against the best golfers from each team in the league. He has the lowest scoring average on the team, and he has the second most individual wins on the team as well. What is even more impressive is the fact that he is in 8th grade and is playing mostly against seniors.

Anna Kraft ‘18 – JV Soccer
Anna demonstrated great determination and great play this week. She scored two goals in our game vs. Winsor and narrowly missed a third by a foot. She never stopped pressuring the opposing defense and created opportunities for our team.

Ronan McCarthy ‘20 – Middle School Boys A Soccer
Over the last several games Ronan excelled in playing a holding midfielder position. His work-rate is tremendous and his technical abilities and tenacious play serve as a backbone for the team’s midfield. He not only provides a lot of defensive support, but often helps launch our own attack. In the last game he got on a scoring sheet himself by connecting with a great header from a corner kick.

Lila O’Neil ‘20 Middle School Field Hockey
Lila led the team to another shut out in goal on Wednesday. She has been a strong anchor for the defense all season as well as a positive leader during practice.
