Girls’ Varsity Basketball

Girls’ Varsity Basketball team traveled to the Groton School for their opening game of the season. It was certainly a defensive battle as Beaver’s shooting percentage was low. Both teams battled and Groton pulled out a victory 26-25 on a last second 3pt. shot.

Boys’ Varsity Basketball

The Beaver Boys’ Basketball team opened up the season with an impressive 60-53 win over Tabor Academy on the road.  Tabor Academy, a Class A school, is one of the pre-season favorites to compete for the Class A title this year. Senior Jeff Spellman, led the team with 20 points and senior Jacquil Taylor had 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

Girls Ice Hockey

The Girls Varsity Ice Hockey team opened the season with an away league game vs. Winsor on Friday and then an away out of league game in the Pingree Holiday Tournament on Saturday vs. Winchester. While the team lost both games, they are working hard and improving each day. This week, the team will travel to Dover, NH to take on EIL powerhouse Berwick on Friday and then host Portsmouth Abbey on saturday at Dexter School.
