Boys’ Varsity Soccer

The Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team hosted the Pingree Highlanders on Wednesday. Despite a spirited effort from the visitors, Beaver came away with a 2-1 win to bring their record to 8-0-0 in league play and 9-2-0 overall. Silmar Bueno ’14 scored twice in the game. This week, the boys will travel to Worcester on Wednesday to take on Bancroft. The team will round out the week with a big non-league clash of Class C powers on Saturday when they travel to Wheeler.

Varsity Golf

The Varsity Golf Team hosted a very strong Portsmouth Abbey team last Wednesday and unfortunately lost a close match. Captain Arjun Bakshi ’14 won his match at the number one position on the last hole of the match; he sunk his par put, and his opponent missed his par putt. Three other members of the team, captain Devon Mannion ’14, Zach Rosenberg ’15, and Nick Vaream ’16 played great matches as well, but they all lost by one hole. The team looks to get back on track this week with two away matches against LCA and Landmark, two teams that they have previously beaten earlier this season.
