This week, three student-athletes were honored with Athletic Accolades. Sami Sparrow ’15, Sophie Brescia ’17, and Jacob Florence ’19 received the award for their hard work and performance on the fields.

Sami Sparrow ’15 – Varsity Field Hockey

Sami has been a huge impact for our team from the very first game, where she scored her first goal on our first corner play of the season.  Since then she has dominated the field with her skills and drive adding another goal to her stats last Monday against Montrose.  Then again on Friday she ripped a chip shot to the upper right hand corner of the goal tallying her third goal of the season against LCA.

Sophie Brescia ’17 – Girls JV Soccer
Sophie has been a integral in our first two games this season.  She scored our team’s only two goals against Pingree and also hustles to control the ball and distribute it to other players on the team.  Her hard work and leadership help to motivate our team to perform better and to always give their best.

Jacob Florence ’19 – Middle School Boys B Soccer

Jacob has shown qualities of a leader. He is positive and he is a team player. Jacob has been scoring important goals for the team this season which has helped us stay undefeated. When he has the ball he makes good decisions, and especially around the goal he has been a threat to the opposing teams. Last week he scored our only goal in a 1-1 tie with Park school, and he tallied two more goals against a strong Milton Academy team in an incredible 5-5 tie.
