This week, three student-athletes were honored with Athletic Accolades. Mackenzie Mills ’13, Gabby Marks ’15, and Peter Rabinovitz ’17 received the award for their hard work and performance on the fields and courts.

Mackenzie Mills ’13 – Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse
Kenzie is a key leader on Beaver’s defensive unit. Although she can be quiet off the field, she doesn’t shy away from yelling with a purpose on defense. She stops multiple drives to goal and wins 50/50 balls consistently. Furthermore, she exemplifies team work and dedication in everything she does.

Gabby Marks ’15 – Girls’ Varsity Tennis
Gabby Marks has finished another undefeated season. She never lost a set and only lost 11 games total through 10 matches. She has been a dominant force in the EIL, has been the anchor for the Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team, and helped lead the team to its second winning season in a row.

Peter Rabinovitz ’17 – Middle School Baseball
Peter pitched a sterling six innings against Fay last week. After allowing a run on two walks and two hits in the first inning, he picked off a runner at second to end the frame. From then on he was flawless, retiring the next 15 hitters in succession. For the game he gave up one run on two hits, walked two and struck out nine. Because he pounded the strike zone, his fielders stayed alert and did not commit an error.  Peter’s brilliant day led the team to an important 5 – 1 victory.
