Girls Basketball

The Girls’ Varsity Basketball team played LCA on Monday 2/4. Beaver came out ready to play and held LCA to just 19 first half points. The second half would see Beaver maintain their lead and win 60-41. Junior co-captain Stephanie Soto-Rivera led all scorers with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals. This is the second time this season they would beat LCA. Beaver’s contest vs. class A Worcester Academy was snowed out.

This past week the Girls’ Varsity Basketball team completed the EIL regular season as back-to-back champions with a league record of 15-0. Their 3 game week began on Wednesday with the long road trip to Berwick and a resounding victory with a season high 73 points. They finished the week with a win over Concord and Portsmouth Abbey. The seniors, Adi Alicea-Cordero, Kaila Duarte and Karen Rathjens celebrated with their families at their final regular season home game. They have been instrumental in the success of our program. A special thank you and congratulations to the seniors!

Boys Basketball

The Beaver Boys’ Basketball team went 2-0 last week to clinch their 4th straight EIL title. On Wednesday, Beaver beat Pingree 80-56. Senior, Maurice Taylor, led the team with 16 points on Senior Night. Seniors Jherson Colon and Joe Connelly chipped in with 15 points each. On Friday, Beaver beat Concord Academy 74-52. Maurice Taylor led the team with 19 points. Sophomore Jordan Scurry had 18 points.
