Speaker series: more about James Binnall

Posted on January 15, 2013

At today’s US forum, James Binnall shared his story with Beaver US students on what to do if you injure someone while under the infuence. Binnall was involved in a DUI accident in 1999 that claimed the life of his close friend. He spent 4 years, 1 month, and 6 days in a maximum-security prison as a consequence of his drinking and driving. A Boston native who graduated from Belmont Hill School in 1994, Binnall now visits high schools and colleges across the country, sharing his story and warning others of the danger of drinking and driving. He also is a lawyer and a PhD Candidate at the University of California at Irvine who currently teaches law at the Georgetown University Law Center.
