Fear Ends Here: self-defense class for US students

Beaver US students have the opportunity to participate in an introduction to self defense class, taught by Massachusetts police officer Billy Spalding, Boston College Police Department Sergeant Tony Cadogan, and registered nurse Katie Davis.

The program, called Fear Ends Here, uses techniques base from Krav Maga, the Israeli military system of self defense. In a short period of time, students will learn cover striking techniques, kicking techniques, defense against strangulation, and more. Read more about the program and instructors here.

CLASS DATES AND TIMES
Sunday, January 27

  • 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. High School Girls
  • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. High School Boys

Saturday, February 2

  • 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. High School Girls
  • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. High School Boys

Saturday, March 2

  • 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. High School Girls

Classes are limited to 15 participants on a first come, first serve bases.
