Two Beaver alumni have made notable achievements in the past month. Andy Spellman ’96 was named one of the 100 most innovative entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs, and Fletcher Wortmann ’05’s book Triggered: A Memoir of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder was recently published by St. Martin’s Press.
By being named to the list of the 100 most innovative entrepreneurs, Spellman has been invited to the first Builders & Innovators Summit which will celebrate the next generation of entrepreneurs. Former President Bill Clinton, author Malclom Gladwell, and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandburg will also be attending the event.
Wortmann’s Triggered is a memoir of his life living with, being treated for, and learning to manage a less well known type of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder referred to as “Pure O” — purely obsessional OCD. Since publication, Wortmann has been interviewed on NPR’s Talk of the Nation and the book has honored with a Booklist starred review.
