On Saturday, May 19, Beaver boys’ tennis outplayed a strong Pingree squad in the finals of the NEPSAC tournament. Including that 4-1 victory, Beaver caps off the season with an undefeated 9-0 record against Conference opponents.
This senior class is arguably the most successful in Beaver history. The seniors played a part in earning two NEPSAC Championships and four consecutive EIL banners in their four year tenure.
This year’s team had some outstanding accomplishments:
- TJ Moor ’12 will likely be awarded MVP of the league with a perfect record at #1 singles.
- Kris Bronner ’12 achieved a rare feat on Saturday as well; throughout his career at Beaver, most often playing at the #2 singles spot, Kris never lost an EIL match.
- Jay Rodman ’12, Beaver’s #3 singles player, also completed the season undefeated.
- In doubles, Jon Marsh ’13 and Hunter Flint ’14 completed a stunning season at the #1 spot, only stumbling once throughout the season.
- Gabe Belkind ’15 and Adam Goodman ’12 rounded out the #2 doubles spot in our EIL lineup, only dropping 1 set throughout the year.
Remarkably, seven seniors will be graduating at season’s end giving the team an entirely new complexion for Spring 2013.
