The second round of spring Athletic Accolades have been awarded. Dom Smith ’13, Sophia Friedfertig ’16, and Jesse Roberts ’17 are this week’s honorees.
Dom Smith ’13 – Boys Varsity Lacrosse
Through the first four games of the season, junior “attackman”, Dom Smith has led the charge for the Beaver Boys Varsity Lacrosse program. Averaging 3 goals per game, Dom has led the team in minutes played, goals scored (12), and total points (13). His uncanny ability to dodge to the cage and move off ball has created much of the Beaver offense to date. Dom has continued his dominating game play from the previous season and has set himself apart as one of the more talented lacrosse players in the Eastern Independent League moving forward.
Sophia Friedfertig ’16 – MS Softball
Sophia has had a very strong start this softball season. She has pitched every game thus far and been strong offensively helping the team to a 3-2 record. Beyond that she is enthusiastic, a positive team player, and sets a great example for younger players.
Jesse Roberts ’17 – MS Tennis
Jesse is currently 3-0 in singles match play. His game is built around heavy topspin ground strokes and outstanding athleticism. Jesse works hard to address his needs of improvement and to encourage team mates to do the same. He exhibits consistent sportsmanship and is becoming a more vocal leader on the MS Blue team.
