Beaver Boys Fall in PK’s after 0-0 Draw

Posted on November 17, 2011

Despite outshooting Wheeler 11-6 and carrying play, Beaver were unable to break through and claim victory. Beaver hit the woodwork multiple times and lost in heartbreaking fashion in penalty kicks to a stingy and hard working group from Wheeler. Hats off to Wheeler for a tremendous effort and earning a trip to the NEPSAC semi final. After 90 minutes of regulation and 2 overtime periods, the scoreboard stood at 0-0 in a torrential rain. Beaver saw strong performances from senior captains Charlie Segar and Zeke Satloff in the back. David Price returned to action in net after a long injury, and played very well.  The sophomore keeper made a quality save late to keep the score knotted. Zachary Herivaux, coming off of a stellar first season for Beaver, rang the crossbar on a well struck free kick as everyone in attendance held their breath. Congratulations to both teams on a wonderful effort and terrific seasons.
