The Beaver lacrosse program secured a huge win over Class A Worcester Academy in a 15-13 thriller in Western MA.
The game started with two quick goals from visiting Beaver but it was a hard fought first half finishing with Beaver on top 9-8. The game was tied 10-10 in the third when the tide began to swing in Worcesters favor after several “man-up” goals in the fourth. Worcester had a 13-10 lead with under 6:00 minutes to play in the game but Beaver would not settle for a loss. With only a couple minutes to play Beaver was able to score a tying goal from Charlie Segar who has led the team in scoring all season. Beaver was able to put two more away giving he team a lead in the closing minutes. In a last minute push from Worcester, David Herman made several great stops securing the biggest win of he season to date.
Beaver will look to continue the winning streak tomorrow on the road versus a tough Landmark team up on the north shore.
