Beaver Tennis Takes Bite out of Bulldogs

Boys tennis defeated Bancroft 4-1 at the Baker School.

TJ Moor and Kris Bronner, at 1 and 2 singles, respectively, got off to great starts and set the tone for the afternoon in two quick wins.  Asa Welch soon followed with another straight set win at 3rd singles to clinch the win for Beaver.  Colin Read and Jay Rodman had a close first set, winning 6-4, before winning the second set handily.  Adam Goodman and Jon Marsh had the toughest match of the day against a solid Bancroft opponent.  After winning the first set, the duo dropped the second set 7-6 in a tiebreaker, and then lost a superbreaker to give Bancroft their sole point.

The boys play next at Pingree this coming Tuesday.
