Three Beaver grapplers saw their hard work rewarded with first place finishes at the EIL Tournament, while several others Beaver boys brought home second and third place medals.
Coach Rosenthal and his boys can be particularly excited about the fact that every single wrestler participating in this year’s tourney will be back on the mat next winter for Beaver. In fact, all three league champions are freshmen and sophomores. This year’s EIL champions are:
Tyler Kavoogian ’13 (112 lb. weight class)
Joshua Berland ’14 (135 lb. weight class)
Tyler Myrick ’13 (140 lb. weight class)
By defeating an opponent that had previously beaten him twice and winning first place in the most challenging weight class in the league, Tyler Myrick was also named the league’s “Outstanding Wrestler.”
